Verdict – $5.6 Million- Dangerous Road Condition

Our client was a blue-collar worker on his way to work at 6:00 a.m., when he was struck head on by an oncoming vehicle on a two lane rural road. Our client was badly hurt sustaining multiple fractures and a traumatic brain injury. The driver of the oncoming vehicle did not have nearly enough insurance to cover the injuries sustained by our client. Our initial investigation revealed that the accident was caused by a dangerous condition of the two lane road caused by CALTRANS failure to properly maintain the roadway. We file a lawsuit against CALTRANS and after years of contentious litigation the case was tried to a jury who returned a $5.6 Million verdict for our client.
