On Friday, September 12, 2008, a Metrolink commuter train crashed head on into a Union Pacific freight train in Chatsworth, California. The Metrolink train ran through several red signals because the engineer was sending text messages at the time. The resulting impact was devastating.
Recently, we obtained a sizeable award for our client, a victim of the train crash. Our client was returning to his home in Simi Valley. The train crash sent him flying approximately 20 feet, hitting a pole with such force that the pole was knocked loose. He was knocked unconscious and when he awoke he noticed a gash to his forehead; his nose was throbbing and his ear was filling with blood. He eventually got to his feet and stumbled off of the train.
We are pleased to have been able to obtain a sizeable award for our client to compensate him for his injuries, his pain, suffering and future lost wages. We wish our client the best in his future.
